Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Foreman to oversee our construction operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the layout, assembly, and installation of duct and vault systems for diverse clientele.
  • Manage daily operations of 1 to 2 crews, ensuring efficient workflow.
  • Utilize heavy machinery for excavation, installation, and project completion.
  • Conduct regular inspections of work sites to identify hazards and enforce safety protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, OSHA, and company safety regulations.
  • Review and approve employee time sheets for accuracy.
  • Coordinate travel to various job sites as necessary.
  • Prepare material take-offs and assess project requirements.
  • Collaborate with Equipment and Purchasing Managers for resource allocation.
  • Schedule and oversee subcontractor activities.
  • Maintain effective communication with local officials, management, staff, and clients.
  • Organize crew schedules and project timelines.
  • Prepare and distribute project documentation to clients.
  • Collect job packages for billing purposes.
  • Facilitate preconstruction meetings with municipalities and adhere to established standards.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Be prepared to work additional hours or weekends as needed to meet project deadlines.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • 3-5 years of experience in underground utility construction.
  • Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions effectively.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints and project specifications.
  • Experience operating heavy equipment such as backhoes, loaders, and excavators.
  • Knowledge of underground utility installation processes.

Work Environment:
This position requires working outdoors in various weather conditions. Physical demands include lifting materials weighing between 40 to 90 pounds, maintaining visual contact with crew members, and safely operating company vehicles and heavy machinery. The role may involve working in confined spaces and requires the use of safety gear.
