Chief Programs Officer

Crystal Stairs, Inc. is seeking a seasoned and compassionate leader to join our Executive Leadership Team, providing strategic direction and guidance to take our organization to the next level. As Chief Programs Officer, you will be responsible for guiding the delivery and implementation of our comprehensive array of programs and services, ensuring they align with our mission and vision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to our programs, ensuring they meet the needs of our community and maintain our reputation as a key contributor to the Department of Education and other funders.
  • Oversee the management of all program-related projects, ensuring successful delivery on time, within budget, and meeting agreed-upon success criteria.
  • Represent the organization to governmental, corporate, and other entities, ensuring that programmatic contract requirements are met and maintaining good relations with funders.
  • Communicate and educate employees on agency culture, leading by example and demonstrating a commitment to integrity, honesty, and adherence to the highest standards of ethical behavior.
  • Determine implementation strategies, processes, plans, programs, and tools to enhance organizational capability, advising and informing the Executive Leadership Team on the implications of short and long-term decisions.
Qualifications:
  • BA/BS Degree in Business, Education, Public Administration, Child Development, Organizational Development, or equivalent, with extensive executive-level leadership experience.
  • 5-7 years in a strategic leadership role in corporate or a non-profit agency, with experience managing seasoned professionals and providing creative leadership, mentoring, coaching, and training skills.
  • Skilled in reading, interpreting, and analyzing complex state and federal regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, to individuals with diverse backgrounds and relate to diverse groups of people, including low-income families.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English and understand and be understood by others.
  • Knowledge of organizational and management practices related to the evaluation of services, policies, and operational needs.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills using tact, intellect, patience, and courtesy.
  • Ability to coordinate and manage projects, work independently, and follow through with project completion.
