Job Summary

The Maintenance Mechanic is a key member of our team at Magnetic Technologies Corporation, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Installation and Maintenance: Perform diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems and processes.
  • Emergency Repairs: Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Mechanic Skills: Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Tool Operation: Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Safety and Quality: Adhere to all safety policies, identify and report unsafe conditions to Supervisor, and maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
Requirements
  • Certificate or Equivalent: Certificate in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred, or high school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.
  • Skills and Abilities: Ability to use calipers, micrometers, tape measures, etc., with precision, ability to work on teams or alone, ability to read and perform basic mathematics, and basic computer skills.
Working Conditions
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift and/or move minimum 75 pounds for most machinery, and this position is very active, requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
  • Environmental Factors: May be exposed to loud noises, dirt, dust, and fumes, moving mechanical parts, and vibration, and production floor is not temperature controlled year-round.
Education and Experience
  • Certificate or Equivalent: Certificate in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred, or high school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
