With the Medicare sector on the rise, welcoming over 10,000 individuals daily reaching the age of 65, we guide our clients through the critical process of selecting a Medicare plan that aligns with their needs.
Role Overview:
The GoHealth Sales Team Leader will oversee both team dynamics and individual agent performance. You will inspire and support the implementation of effective sales strategies, boost sales productivity per agent, ensure compliance, manage administrative tasks accurately, and foster GoHealth's culture. As a proven sales expert, you are dedicated to making a significant impact on agents and are passionate about driving performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of 10-20 sales agents.
- Thoroughly understand all of GoHealth's policies and procedures.
- Meet and exceed expectations for working hours during the annual enrollment period.
- Exhibit Emotional Intelligence to thrive in this role.
- Mentor multiple agents through various techniques while also leading by example by selling policies over the phone.
- Monitor, analyze, and enhance team metrics, including conversion rates and overall production.
- Act as a change agent by planning, communicating, and supporting transitions within the call center.
- Assist in the onboarding of new agents for the annual enrollment period, including classroom training and material development.
- Utilize reporting tools and sales strategies to coach performance and ensure accountability among direct reports.
- Collaborate with support teams to optimize call center operations.
- Work with the Agent Performance team to identify training needs and performance improvement plans.
- Demonstrate top agent performance when selling individual insurance policies.
- Engage in sales calls for development and as needed during peak periods.
- Encourage team cohesion and engagement in all environments, whether in-person or remote.
- Communicate the company's values and culture effectively.
- Identify early signs of employee dissatisfaction and drive agent retention.
Desired Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of managerial experience.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
- Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills.
- Strong customer focus, sales acumen, and telephone etiquette.
- Able to work collaboratively while motivating team members.
- Confident with a sharp business perspective.
- Proven ability to set, meet, and exceed targets.
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and extended hours as necessary.
- Licensure preferred but not mandatory.
