Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Fiscal Grant Coordinator to join our Office of Finance and Information Technology at the State of Oregon. This is a permanent position represented by the State of Oregon.

This role is a hybrid of remote work and will require occasional on-site presence. Remote work is encouraged to the fullest extent possible without interfering with business operations.

About the Role:

The Fiscal Grant Coordinator will serve as the primary coordinator for fiscal matters related to departmental grants. Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with program offices to monitor grant status and produce comprehensive reports on grant effectiveness.
  • Providing technical assistance and consultation to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Maintaining tracking spreadsheets and providing guidance to grant analysts and EGMS staff.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Six years of progressively responsible experience in budget preparation, analysis, and administration, including modeling and forecasting fiscal information.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Public or Non-Profit Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field may substitute for three years of experience.
  • A graduate-level degree in a related field may substitute for four of the six years of experience.
Desirable Attributes:

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, FASB, and GASB principles, as well as federal, state, and local financial regulations.
  • Extensive experience in grant development and management.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in conflict resolution and mentoring.
  • In-depth understanding of accounting, finance, legal, and forecasting processes.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of general business, finance, accounting, and governmental funding principles.
  • Ability to develop complex reports and analyses using databases and other tools.
  • Proven ability to establish effective working relationships and communicate effectively with a variety of people.
