About the Role:

The Oregon Department of Early Learning and Care is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Child Care Resource and Referral Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in promoting the Department's vision and goals through comprehensive support and management of the Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) system.

The CCR&R Specialist will work closely with CCR&R leadership to develop and oversee plans based on various pieces of collected evidence, including budgets, key performance metrics, reports, site visits, and other evaluations. This role will also assist in setting the vision and strategy for the efficacy of CCR&Rs as they support equitable access to early care and education across the state of Oregon.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and administer statewide systems, monitoring grants and contracts for compliance.
  • Collaborate with CCR&R leadership to develop and oversee plans based on collected evidence.
  • Assist in setting the vision and strategy for the efficacy of CCR&Rs.
  • Work with culturally and individually diverse groups, applying an equity lens to program and policy development and implementation.
  • Assess, organize, and coordinate priorities in a work environment with multiple competing demands.
What We're Looking For:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, Early Learning, or related degree; and four years of experience coordinating or administering a program.
  • Any combination of experience or education equivalent to seven years of experience coordinating or administering a program.
  • Desired attributes include experience developing and administering statewide systems, monitoring grants and contracts for compliance, and working in the Oregon early learning and child care system.
