About the Role:

The Oregon Department of Early Learning and Care is seeking a highly skilled Child Care Resource and Referral Specialist to join our team. This is a permanent position that will play a critical role in promoting the Department's vision and goals through comprehensive support and management of the Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) system.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in program administration, with experience in coordinating or administering a program. They will also possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and administer work plans and monitor grants and contracts for compliance.

This position will work closely with CCR&R leadership to develop and oversee plans based on various pieces of collected evidence, including budgets, key performance metrics, reports, site visits, and other evaluations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of early learning and care complexities and strengths, as well as experience working in the Oregon early learning and child care system.

The Child Care Resource and Referral Specialist will be responsible for promoting the Department's vision and goals through comprehensive support and management of the CCR&R system. This includes developing and administering work plans, monitoring grants and contracts for compliance, and working closely with CCR&R leadership to develop and oversee plans based on various pieces of collected evidence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance and support to CCR&Rs
  • Collaborate with various partners, including school districts, businesses, education service districts, and community-based organizations
