Role Summary:

The Account Manager will collaborate closely with the Producer and service team, taking charge of the strategic oversight of clients' employee benefit programs and goals. This role also involves fostering and sustaining relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and insurance carriers.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; or 3-5 years of relevant experience and/or training; or a suitable combination of education and experience
  • Life and health insurance license required
  • Proficient in technology; capable of mastering various systems. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong verbal communication abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategically manage an assigned portfolio in partnership with the Producer to comprehend the client's business and assist in crafting employee benefit strategies that align with their objectives; ensure a seamless onboarding process for new clients.
  • Provide enrollment, benchmarking, financial, and utilization insights based on established financial review criteria and offer recommendations as necessary.
  • Identify opportunities for expanding coverage options or services.
  • Educate clients on regulatory matters and support them with compliance-related issues as needed.
  • Act as a project coordinator by effectively communicating and guiding the account team to implement client-specific initiatives that deliver unique value through tailored business plans, service timelines, and corporate communications.
  • Oversee the renewal process, including marketing efforts, understanding underwriting and renewal strategies, and advocating on behalf of the client.
  • Ensure the accuracy of all agency management system data for marketing, benchmarking, and other purposes.
  • Maintain ongoing updates in the agency management system.
  • Build and sustain relationships with internal and external partners and carriers.
  • Contribute to workflow evaluation and enhancement initiatives; provide training as needed.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Travel requirements are expected to be 25-50% for this position.
