Job Summary

We are seeking a distinguished Lead Anthropologist of Chinese Cultures to join our faculty at the Department of Anthropology. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of ethnographic research on contemporary Chinese society and culture, with a strong commitment to teaching, advising, and contributing to both undergraduate and graduate education.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct cutting-edge ethnographic research on contemporary Chinese society and culture.
  2. Taught courses in anthropology, including undergraduate and graduate-level classes, with a focus on Chinese cultures.
  3. Advise and mentor students in their academic and professional pursuits.
  4. Engage in ongoing research that advances the department's commitment to intellectual diversity and excellence.
  5. Pursue opportunities for external funding and partnerships to support research initiatives.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in anthropology or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • A demonstrated strong commitment to teaching, advising, and research.
  • Intellectual leadership and impact on the field, with significant contributions to the department, university, and broader scholarly community.

Salary Information

The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
