About the Role
As a Sr. Director Business Development, Search & Evaluation, you'll be responsible for leading key activities that drive our neurodegenerative disease business development strategy forward. This exciting opportunity will see you work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and evaluate external opportunities, develop and execute business cases, and negotiate deals that drive value for GSK.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Synthesize complex information from various sources, including clinical data, market trends, and investment analyses, to inform business decisions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including senior executives, partners, and investors.
- Leverage your expertise in pharmaceutical R&D to drive constructive challenge and debate among stakeholders, ensuring the best outcomes for GSK.
- Act with urgency and entrepreneurial attitude to drive deal processes to go/no-go decisions.
- Presentation of Business Case and other briefing materials for Senior Management and support functions across the business.
- Maintain a broad network of internal and external stakeholders, ensuring GSK appears as the Partner of Choice for the Biotech community.
- Expert in industry trends and awareness of competitor datasets in GSK areas of strategic focus.
What We Offer
We offer a highly competitive salary range of $250,000-$350,000 per year, depending on experience. Requirements
- Advanced degree (e.g., MS, MBA, PhD, PharmD, JD, MD)
- 5+ years of experience in life sciences industry with a focus on neuroscience
- 3+ years of experience in business development, search & evaluation, or alliance management; deal sheet submission required
- Experience in pharmaceutical R&D, demonstrating international experience in multiple cultures and drug discovery/clinical environments
- Experience in drug discovery and development

- Ability to navigate and succeed in a fast-paced, matrixed work environment
- Proven innovation-driven leadership abilities in a drug discovery environment with demonstrable knowledge of drug development
- Experience interacting and communicating effectively with senior executive teams
- Demonstrated experience leading and influencing experienced professionals and executives
- Strong track record of building successful internal/external partnership and collaboration relationships, demonstrating cultural sensitivity and awareness
