Undergraduate Recruitment and Outreach Coordinator

The Undergraduate Recruitment and Outreach Coordinator plays a pivotal role in the Costello College of Business at George Mason University, fostering a dynamic environment that supports the growth and success of students, faculty, and staff. This position is responsible for providing administrative, logistical, and recruitment support to the recruitment and outreach function within the Undergraduate Programs team.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategic recruitment plans to attract and engage high school students, community partners, and transfer students.
- Collaborate with the Student Leadership Council to provide guidance, mentorship, and support to members.
- Serve as a liaison between Admissions Counselors and College of Business Academic Advisors to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Host transfer workshops and provide support to students during times of distress and success.
- Coordinate recruitment activities, including fairs, open houses, and on-site visits, to promote the Costello College of Business and its programs.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of recruitment and admission trends within higher education, community colleges, adult student outreach, and certificate programs.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work independently with tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality in a highly visible office.
- Excellent computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office, electronic calendaring, and University applications.
