About the Position

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the role of Undergraduate Recruitment and Outreach Coordinator in the Costello College of Business. This position will provide administrative, logistical, and recruitment support to the recruitment and outreach function within the Undergraduate Programs team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the recruitment and outreach function, including data entry, record-keeping, and communication with stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract and engage with prospective students, including high school students, community college students, and transfer students.
  • Collaborate with academic advisors and other campus partners to provide support to students throughout their academic journey.
  • Represent the Costello College of Business at recruitment events, including college fairs, open houses, and on-site visits.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, including high schools, community colleges, and other organizations.
  • Provide logistical support for recruitment events, including event planning, coordination, and execution.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, and social media content.
  • Provide support to the Student Leadership Council, including guidance, mentorship, and logistical support.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of recruitment and admission trends within higher education, community colleges, adult student outreach, and certificate programs.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to interact with guests, students, and community partners in-person and virtually.
  • Ability to work independently and to complete multiple tasks within tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality in a highly visible office.
  • Excellent computer skills, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office, electronic calendaring, email, and other software applications.
  • Ability to provide timely and relevant input concerning external relations activities, meetings, and events.
  • Ability to learn and adapt in new, fast-paced environments.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment and in support of all levels of college/institutional leadership.
  • Familiarity with student affairs and admissions processes.
  • Experience in admissions and recruitment, preferably within higher education.
  • Valid motor vehicle's license.
