Role SummaryUnder the guidance of the Contract Analyst, the Billing Specialist will manage essential accounting functions, primarily focusing on Accounts Receivable and Contract Billing.
Employment DetailsThis is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt role, offering eligibility for medical, dental, vision, 403b, and a comprehensive PTO plan.
CompensationBilling Specialist Wage:
$31.35 - $40.11
Starting Wage (Dependent on Experience):
$31.35 - $32.92
QualificationsPreferred Experience / Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Additional college coursework or 2+ years of relevant professional experience
- Familiarity with Sage/Intacct is advantageous
Essential Knowledge:
- General accounting principles, practices, and procedures
- Grant and contract compliance
- Contract terms and conditions
- Proficiency in Excel and Google Suite
- Manage all tasks related to accounts receivable, including interaction with staff and vendors, invoicing, expense coding, and data entry.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate records for assigned contracts, ensuring they are up-to-date with program and contract modifications.
- Understand the financial requirements of assigned contracts, ensuring all functions adhere to applicable federal, state, and county guidelines, including expense eligibility and proper documentation.
- Coordinate the coding of expenditures related to assigned contracts.
- Collaborate with program staff to complete all non-financial contract reports, ensuring timely submission of assigned contracts.
- Work alongside program staff to review ongoing budget-to-actual reports and manage adjustments and corrections in preparing monthly invoices.
- Prepare and dispatch invoices and all required reports to relevant agencies.
- Assist with audit responses and monitoring activities, including the annual financial audit.
- Gather necessary financial reporting for federal, city, and state agencies as required.
- Provide clerical and administrative support as assigned.
