Auria is actively seeking a skilled Cloud Security Operations Engineer to contribute to the development of advanced satellite communication systems. This role focuses on enhancing the Wideband Global Satellite Communications (SATCOM) capabilities through innovative DevSecOps practices.

The successful candidate will engage in DevSecOps initiatives aimed at architecting and executing solutions for the construction, testing, and deployment of containerized microservices within a dynamic environment. This position is crucial for establishing an automated deployment and testing framework for both cloud-based and on-premises software production.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and refine continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes across various cloud platforms.
  • Support software quality assurance efforts linked to product releases, oversee the ongoing maintenance of the DevSecOps toolchain, and implement necessary software factory upgrades.
  • Conduct automated system testing, integration, and deployment utilizing DevSecOps methodologies and tools.
  • Propose and execute enhancements to DevSecOps workflows and tools/products.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Eligibility for a U.S. Government SECRET security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
  • Proficient programming skills in Bash, YAML, Python, PowerShell, and AzureCLI.
  • Experience with GitLab, Ansible, Terraform, Nexus, and Jenkins.
  • Familiarity with AWS cloud services and GCC High.
  • Background in planning or supporting missions over a SATCOM constellation.
  • Knowledge of spacecraft configuration and SATCOM resource management.
  • Understanding of application security principles and vulnerability remediation strategies.
  • Experience in an agile development environment, performing engineering tasks for complex systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple demonstration events simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current U.S. Government SECRET security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
  • Experience in software development, test automation, and system automation supporting Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Configuration as Code (CaC), and Security as Code (SaC).
  • Expertise in CI/CD processes, tools, and technologies within a modern software factory, including GitLab, Ansible, Terraform, Nexus, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of secure software development practices and implementing full-stack infrastructure with a security-first approach.
  • Familiarity with security standards such as NIST, STIG Compliance, and Ansible Lockdown.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum teams using tools like Jira and Confluence is highly desirable.

Compensation Range:
$93,000 - $144,000

Engineer Level 3:
Bachelor's degree with seven or more years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with four or more years of relevant experience.

Engineer Level 4:
Bachelor's degree with 12 or more years of experience, or a Master's degree with nine or more years of experience.
