Position Overview: Electrical and Instrumentation Reliability Engineer

The Reliability Engineer plays a crucial role in delivering Electrical and Instrumentation engineering expertise to tackle plant challenges that impact production efficiency in a timely manner.

As the technical authority, this position is responsible for addressing equipment-related issues and repair methodologies that influence the operational readiness and maintainability of the facility. Additionally, the engineer serves as a subject matter expert during root cause analyses of equipment failures and repair strategies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Establish and enforce Maintenance Procedure Use Policy
  • Perform regular technical evaluations and updates of Standard Operating Procedures
  • Work in conjunction with Subject Matter Experts to develop work scopes and implement solutions
  • Contribute to the Mechanical Integrity Quality Assurance (MIQA) process
  • Assist in Calibration, Installation, and Troubleshooting activities
  • Oversee revisions and approvals of Master Data
  • Coordinate equipment overhauls, repairs, and external calibrations
  • Support operations and maintenance during unexpected outages
  • Conduct audits and inspections of operational areas
  • Provide troubleshooting and reconfiguration assistance to operations and maintenance teams
  • Review and update Preventive Maintenance plans
  • Renew service agreements as needed
  • Prepare Electrical lockout lists for Operations as necessary
  • Implement recommendations from Process Hazard Analyses (PHA)
  • Assist with equipment startup, commissioning, and Substation Preventive Maintenance
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical Engineering
  • At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing or a related electrical field
DESIRED SKILLS:
  • Proficiency in SAP for Bill of Materials enhancement
  • Understanding of risk assessment principles
  • Familiarity with Global Maintenance Work Process (GMWP) and reliability networks
  • Knowledge of Reliability Engineering Principles, including statistical analysis and reliability modeling
