The Maintenance Engineer is a key member of our team at TheTalentos, LLC, responsible for leading Electrical & Instrumentation engineering support of plant issues that impact production over a short period. As a technical expert, you will be responsible for resolving equipment-based or repair technique-based issues that affect the availability and maintainability of our facility.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Maintain Technical Procedures: Perform periodic technical reviews and revisions of Standard Practice & Standard Operating Procedures, serve as a technical resource during procedure creation and review, and create and review job procedures and checklists.
- Root Cause Investigations: Serve as a subject matter expert in equipment failures and repair techniques during root cause investigations.
- Turnaround Support: Develop turnaround scopes and support turnaround activities.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to develop work scopes and drive solutions, and provide input to Mechanical Integrity Quality Assurance (MIQA) process.
- CET Support: Provide support for calibrations, installations, and troubleshooting.
- Master Data Management: Manage Master Data revisions and request approvals for Bill of Materials, Equipment Master, and Maintenance Plans.
- Store/Vendor Requests: Handle requests for information for obsolete or incorrectly set up materials.
- Equipment Management: Coordinate and support equipment rebuilds, repairs, and offsite calibrations.
- Commissioning Documentation: Manage commissioning documentation for small jobs and projects.
- Area Planning: Support area planners with quotes for equipment and job plans.
- Unplanned Outages: Support operations and maintenance during unplanned outages.
- Audits and Inspections: Conduct area audits and inspections.
- Troubleshooting and Reconfigurations: Assist operations and maintenance with troubleshooting and reconfigurations.
- Electrical Equipment Specifications: Develop electrical equipment specifications for replacement, retrofits, and new units.
- PM Plans: Review and revise PM plans.
- Service Contracts: Renew service contracts as needed.
- Electrical Lockout Lists: Prepare electrical lockout lists for operations.
- PHA Recommendations: Implement PHA recommendations.
- Equipment Startup and Commissioning: Support equipment startup and commissioning.
- Substation PMs and Power Allocation: Prepare procedure and coordinate PMs for substation.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline, with Electrical Engineering degree highly preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years of manufacturing or related experience in electrical engineering required.
- SAP Working Knowledge: Familiarity with SAP for Bill of Materials improvement.
- Risk Assessment Principles: Understanding of risk assessment principles.
- Maintenance Goals: Alignment with maintenance cost, asset utilization, and goal objectives.
- Global Maintenance Work Process (GMWP): Knowledge of GMWP and reliability network.
- Reliability Engineering Principles: Understanding of reliability engineering principles, including statistical analysis and reliability modeling.
- Intellectual Curiosity: Proactively invests time and energy into learning and developing, in the interest of improving results.
- Functional Skills: Possesses specific skills and experiences needed to deliver and accelerate in the current role and throughout the career.
