JOB OVERVIEW:
The Electrical Maintenance Engineer is responsible for providing electrical engineering support to address plant challenges that affect production in a timely manner.
This role acts as the technical authority, resolving equipment-related or repair method issues that influence the facility's availability and maintainability.
As a subject matter expert, the engineer will investigate equipment failures and repair methods during root cause analyses and contribute to the Mechanical Integrity Quality Assurance (MIQA) process. Regular field assessments of equipment will also be part of the responsibilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develops Maintenance Procedure Use Policy:
- Conducts technical reviews of procedures;
- Acts as a technical resource during the creation and review of procedures;
- Creates and reviews job procedures and checklists, initiating the Management of Change (MOC) process.
2. Provides expertise in equipment failures and repair techniques during root cause investigations.
3. Contributes maintenance insights into project activities and serves as the maintenance representative for capital projects.
4. Develops turnaround scopes and supports turnaround activities.
5. Collaborates with Subject Matter Experts to formulate work scopes and implement solutions.
6. Provides input to the Reliability Top Opportunity List.
7. Engages in regular field assessments of equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering discipline with relevant electrical and instrumentation experience.
- Preferred experience in manufacturing or related fields is required.
