Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert guidance and leadership in the engineering, design, implementation, and troubleshooting of Industrial Control Systems (ICS) across our power generation facilities.
  • Oversee the development and review of specifications, work scopes, and testing procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Engage in hands-on support for control systems, including digital devices that interface with our power generation systems.
  • Lead multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating with vendors and contractors to achieve project goals.
  • Ensure adherence to NERC regulatory standards and ICS Cyber Security protocols, enhancing our operational integrity.
  • Research and implement new technologies to optimize plant performance and reliability.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of control systems and instrumentation for new projects and acquisitions.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant engineering experience, particularly in Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) within power generation or heavy industrial settings.
  • Extensive experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), and SCADA systems.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and electronics theory, along with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with various control systems, including those used in power plants and renewable energy sources.
  • Familiarity with control loop tuning and advanced control system technologies.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, is required.

Working Conditions

This role may involve exposure to various environmental conditions and requires a willingness to travel as needed.
