Position Overview: Human Resource Assistant

We are seeking a committed Human Resource Assistant to contribute to our vibrant team at EMD Sales. In this role, you will be instrumental in aiding the HR department with a variety of administrative responsibilities and human resource functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with recruitment processes, including job posting and preliminary candidate evaluations.
  • Oversee the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring smooth orientations and completion of necessary documentation.
  • Maintain accurate employee records while ensuring adherence to HR policies and regulations.
  • Address employee relations issues and provide support to staff as needed.
  • Facilitate employee benefits enrollment and assist in the administration of benefit programs.
  • Organize and coordinate training initiatives aimed at employee growth and development.
  • Support payroll processing and timekeeping functions.
  • Conduct exit interviews and manage the separation process for departing employees.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR team.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Exceptional organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR management software.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to tasks.
  • Understanding of HR laws and compliance regulations.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information with discretion.
  • Bilingual skills are advantageous.
Education and Experience
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in human resources or a similar role.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Hourly wage of $19.00.
  • Initial probation period of six months with performance evaluation for potential permanency.
