Position Overview

The role of the Electronic Systems Engineer - Control Systems involves significant responsibilities in the realm of advanced engineering practices. This position is pivotal in guiding the development and integration of intricate electronic systems, particularly within the aerospace sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the technical aspects of engine control systems and other sophisticated systems, ensuring effective collaboration across various teams and suppliers.
  • Engage in the entire lifecycle of engineering projects, from initial program launch through to certification and subsequent enhancements.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineers, fostering their professional growth and technical acumen.
Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree in engineering or a related technical field is essential, along with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a specialized engineering discipline or 15 years of diverse engineering experience with a Bachelor's degree. Advanced degrees may contribute to experience credit, with limitations.

Position Purpose:
To facilitate the successful execution of major engineering initiatives or to innovate in areas of significant complexity, thereby supporting the advancement and production of cutting-edge aerospace products and services.

Essential Functions:
  1. Employ appropriate methodologies and evaluation criteria to address complex engineering challenges.
  2. Serve as a recognized authority within the field, frequently consulted by peers and stakeholders.
  3. Proactively identify and resolve intricate issues creatively, establishing standards for various engineering activities.
  4. Balance technical requirements with cost and scheduling considerations in problem-solving approaches.
  5. Work independently with minimal supervision, with a focus on long-term objectives and desired outcomes.
  6. Exhibit autonomy in determining technical goals and making authoritative decisions and recommendations.
Additional Functions:
  1. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in the field and related aerospace disciplines to propose innovative solutions that enhance product quality and effectiveness.
Other Requirements:
  1. An advanced degree in engineering or a related field is preferred.
  2. The requisite level of technical skill and expertise will be defined by each engineering discipline.
Additional Information:
