Job Overview

Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled engineer with a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, who possesses a strong foundation in the design and integration of components and systems within advanced aerospace flight control systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and integrate systems within the Advanced Programs Flight Controls, focusing on Fly-by-Wire technology.
  • Analyze and define design parameters, performance metrics, reliability, and safety standards for flight control systems.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Catia V5 for 3-D modeling, including creative modeling, layout drawings, and installation specifications.
  • Utilize Enovia/LCA/Smarteam for project management and documentation.
  • Apply company standards and procedures to ensure compliance with flight control system requirements.
  • Understand aircraft integration and design principles at an enterprise level.
  • Exhibit knowledge of airworthiness and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Implement Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance quality and testing processes.
  • Conduct operations using MS Office Suite, including Excel for statistical analysis and MS Project for project tracking.
  • Perform Failure Modes Effects Analysis (FMEA) to evaluate risks associated with system failures.
  • Utilize technical principles and concepts to address complex engineering challenges.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers.
  • Represent the Advanced Programs Flight Controls team in key engineering meetings and discussions with senior management.
  • Coordinate with suppliers on technical matters related to flight control systems.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in aerospace engineering, particularly in flight control systems.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to senior management.
  • Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
