Position Title: Electronic Systems Engineer - Controls Systems

Overview:
As a pivotal member of the engineering team, you will oversee the technical aspects of complex electronic systems, particularly in engine control systems. Your expertise will guide the integration and development of these systems throughout their lifecycle.

Essential Skills:
  • Over a decade of experience in the design and integration of sophisticated electronic systems.
  • Familiarity with FAA/EASA part 25 certification, especially regarding Engine Controls or intricate control systems.
  • Experience in managing supplier relationships during aircraft development phases is highly valued.
  • Proficient in ARP4754A, focusing on system-level verification and validation.
  • Knowledge of DO-178B/C product lifecycle documentation is preferred.
  • Experience in formulating system and component requirements for DO-160 qualification is advantageous.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Provide ongoing technical guidance for engine control systems and other complex systems, ensuring effective cross-functional and supplier collaboration.
  • Support engineering programs from inception through to certification and subsequent enhancements.
  • Mentor junior engineers, fostering their professional growth within the organization.
Education and Experience Requirements:
A Bachelor's Degree in engineering or a related technical field is essential. Candidates should possess a minimum of 10 years in a specific technical area or 15 years of broad engineering experience across various disciplines. Advanced degrees may contribute to experience credit, with a maximum of 2 years for a Master's and 4 years for a PhD.

Position Purpose:
This role is critical in steering the successful execution of significant engineering initiatives and innovating research in complex areas that support the development and production of advanced aerospace products.
