Essential Qualifications:
- Proven experience in the development and integration of aircraft avionics and electronic systems.
- Expertise in the design, integration, testing, and troubleshooting of electronic systems for aircraft, including but not limited to:
- Integrated Avionics, Modular Avionics, Central Computing Systems, and Data Networks.
- Flight Deck Displays, Primary Flight Displays (PFD), Multi-Function Displays (MFD), Integrated Standby Instruments, Electronic Flight Instrument Systems (EFIS), and Touch Screen Interfaces.
- Engine Indication and Crew Alerting Systems (EICAS), Synoptic Displays, and Crew Alerting Systems.
- Autoflight Systems, Flight Director/Autothrottle, and Flight Management Systems (FMS).
- Familiarity with FAA (14 CFR Part 25) and/or EASA (CS-25) certification processes.
- Hands-on experience in functional testing and troubleshooting within an aircraft or system integration laboratory.
- Knowledge of DO-160, DO-178, and DO-254 standards.
- Experience with ARP-4754A for requirements development, validation, and verification, utilizing tools such as IBM DOORS or similar.
- Ability to manage supplier technical deliverables in an engineering context.
A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field is required. A minimum of 10 years of experience in a specific technical discipline or 15 years of diverse engineering experience with a Bachelor's degree is necessary. Advanced degrees may contribute to experience credit, limited to 2 years for a Master's and 4 years for a PhD in relevant fields.
Position Objective:
To lead the successful execution of significant engineering initiatives or to innovate research in areas of substantial scope and complexity that support the development and production of Gulfstream products and services.

- Employs suitable methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to address complex engineering challenges.
- Recognized as an authority in the field, frequently consulted by peers and other stakeholders.
- Proactively identifies and resolves intricate issues creatively and effectively, establishing standards and guidelines for various engineering tasks.
- Balances technical product development with cost and scheduling considerations in problem-solving approaches.
- Operates with minimal supervision; work is evaluated from a long-term perspective for effectiveness.
- Exhibits discretion in determining technical objectives and makes authoritative decisions and recommendations.
- Stays updated on advancements in the specialty field and related aircraft domains to propose innovations that enhance product quality and effectiveness.
Additional Considerations:
- An advanced degree in engineering or a related field is preferred.
- The level of technical skills and competencies appropriate for this position will be defined by each discipline.
