Job Summary

The Technical Salesforce Solutions Architect designs and develops IT architecture solutions to business problems in alignment with the enterprise architecture direction and standards, specifically with regards to the firm's use and implementation of Salesforce products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and Development: Researches, designs, and develops product hardware and software interfaces to form a compatible system.
  • System Design: Designs and defines system requirements for complex systems and/or prepares studies and analyzes existing systems.
  • Architecture Specifications: Determines system architecture specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
  • Customized Solutions: Develops in Apex, Lightning Components, LWC, Lightning Aura, Visualforce, AngularJS, React, AJAX, and other technologies to build customized solutions that support business requirements and drive key business decisions.
  • Technical Leadership: Leads technical design sessions and writes technical design documents.
  • Business Stakeholder Collaboration: Works directly with business stakeholders to define requirements and present solutions.
  • Technical Guidance: Demonstrates technical leadership, setting best practices including integration and application developer, deployment, testing (unit and systems), and iterative refinement.
  • Technical Scope Management: Manages technical scope and client expectation.
  • Integration Development: Designs and develops integrations between applications and other systems as may be required.
  • Technical Support: Provides hand-on expert-level assistance to developers for technical issues.
Qualifications
  • Specialized Knowledge: Requires specialized knowledge of the business, marketplace, and clients.
  • Expert Advice: May provide expert advice to handle complex accounts independently.
  • Best Practice/Quality Resource: Serves as a best practice/quality resource.
  • Technical Guidance: Provides technical guidance to Associates and Analysts.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong working knowledge of the Salesforce platform out-of-the-box functionality along with Apex, Lightning Components, Salesforce APIs, and SQL.
  • Technical Agility: Ability to quickly acquire new technical expertise both within the SFDC platform and in related technologies such as client-side scripting libraries and ETL/ESB integration tools.
  • Web Services: Solid understanding of writing and consuming web services.
  • Mobile Application Development: Solid understanding of developing mobile, hybrid, and/or native iOS/Android applications.
  • Agile Development: Ability to follow Agile development methodology and contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle: analysis, design, development, testing, and production support.
Education and Experience
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related technical field; or equivalent work experience required.
  • Experience: 6+ years of experience in a technical role; previous experience as an architect or senior developer preferred.
  • Data Migration: Experience with data migrations from third-party systems to Salesforce preferred.
  • Integration Development: Experience designing or building Salesforce integrations with third-party applications preferred.
  • Financial Services Experience: Experience with Salesforce implementation within the Financial Services vertical and specifically Investment Banking or Equities/Research preferred.
  • Architecture and APIs: 6+ years' experience with architecture and APIs is preferred.
  • Financial Services Experience: 3+ years' experience with Salesforce implementation within the Financial Services vertical is preferred.
Licenses and Credentials
  • Salesforce Certifications: Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I (PDI) or equivalent experience.
  • Salesforce Certifications: Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II (PDII) or equivalent experience.
