Our Mission

The Enterprise Change, Resiliency, and Sourcing Office (ECRSO) at BNY Mellon is a pivotal first-line office that spearheads the firm's change management, champions resiliency initiatives, and ensures a seamless delivery process for third-party services.

The Enterprise Resiliency Office (ERO), a component of ECRSO, is dedicated to enhancing the firm's resiliency strategy and initiatives. ERO centralizes and integrates our resiliency capabilities to ensure timely and effective incident management, impact assessment, escalation, communication, and resolution, thereby fostering robust business continuity across our global operations. We continuously refine our resiliency framework by leveraging best practices, insights from enterprise-wide testing, and feedback from our clients and partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and execute the strategy that drives product success.
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand product users and their needs.
  • Conduct thorough analyses, validate business requirements, and evaluate various design options to maximize development value.
  • Facilitate effective communication within the team to achieve project objectives.
  • Draft user stories and acceptance criteria comprehensively and promptly.
  • Prioritize features and fixes based on urgency and dependencies.
  • Organize grooming sessions to convey business value and gather estimates from the development team.
  • Collaborate closely with the scrum team throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Test developments and provide timely feedback to ensure the product meets requirements.
  • Manage the backlog of stories relevant to your product area.
  • Work in conjunction with other Product Owner team members.
  • Adhere to established deadlines.
  • Support the launch of new features, including updated standard operating procedures and communications.
  • Possess the ability to build repeatable reporting using complex data sets to fulfill business and regulatory requirements through tools like Power BI or Tableau.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of operational resiliency.

General Responsibilities

  • Oversee standard business continuity compliance tasks and recovery management governance in anticipation of potential crises involving technology and information losses.
  • Assist business units in assessing, monitoring, and reporting key indicators related to business continuity and recovery readiness.
  • Collaborate with the team to define and prioritize features that facilitate efficient management of business continuity data.
  • Prepare reports for senior management audiences within the organization.
  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives aimed at fostering a strong Business Continuity and Recovery culture throughout the firm.
  • Review work with senior professionals for quality assurance.
  • Contribute to team objectives without direct reports.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Seven to ten years of relevant work experience is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Agile principles and processes.
  • Proven track record of delivering products within deadlines.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Innovative and creative thinker.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Highly organized with excellent time-management skills and the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Strong written, presentation, and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the financial services sector, particularly within a large global financial institution.
  • Product management or Agile certification is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in advanced business intelligence tools for management information reporting.
