Objective

The Employee Benefits Specialist plays a crucial role in assisting our clients and their workforce, along with the benefits team, to ensure efficient and precise administration of employee benefits. This position requires strong analytical skills, expertise in benefits management, and a genuine commitment to providing outstanding customer service.

Key Deliverables
  • Respond to all client inquiries received during standard business hours within a 4-hour timeframe.
  • Deliver exceptional service to clients and employees, as reflected in Net Promoter Scores (NPS) and overall client feedback.
    • Achieve a processing accuracy rate of over 95% for all benefit transactions.
  • Document all client interactions accurately in the designated CRM system.
Core Responsibilities
  • Prepare, review, and reconcile weekly Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) files.
  • Oversee COBRA enrollments, audits, employee communications, and payment processing.
  • Assist with the setup of 401(k) plans, deconversions, and address tier 1 client inquiries regarding retirement options.
  • Manage qualifying life events for employees, including document collection and dependent enrollment/un-enrollment.
  • Lead the Affordable Care Act (ACA) audit process and collaborate with Benefits Consultants to ensure compliance for clients.
  • Support the benefits team during the open enrollment period, including the creation of presentations and facilitating enrollments.
