The Employee Benefits Specialist plays a crucial role in assisting our clients and their workforce, along with the benefits team, to ensure efficient and precise administration of benefits. This position requires strong analytical skills, expertise in benefits management, and a genuine commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
Key Performance Indicators
- Respond to all client inquiries received during standard business hours within 4 hours
- Deliver exceptional service to clients and employees, as reflected in NPS and client feedback
- Achieve a processing accuracy rate of over 95% for all benefit transactions
- Document all client interactions thoroughly in SalesForce
- Submit, review, and reconcile weekly HSA/FSA reports
- Oversee COBRA enrollments, audits, employee communications, and payment processing
- Assist with 401K setups, transitions, and tier 1 inquiries regarding retirement plans
- Manage qualifying life events for employees, including document collection and dependent enrollment/un-enrollment
- Lead the ACA audit process and collaborate with Benefit Consultants to ensure compliance for clients
- Support the benefits team during the open enrollment period, including presentation development and enrollment facilitation
- Customer Orientation: Consistently evaluates customer satisfaction and meets both internal and external customer needs effectively, fostering strong partnerships.
- Analytical Proficiency: Identifies key issues and opportunities, analyzes problems thoroughly, and connects data from various sources to uncover insights.
- Effective Communication: Communicates clearly and effectively in one-on-one, small group, and public speaking scenarios, ensuring clarity and understanding.
- Sound Judgment: Exhibits logical and objective decision-making, balancing promptness with thoroughness while anticipating the consequences of decisions.
- Collaborative Team Player: Actively engages with colleagues to eliminate barriers and foster a cooperative work environment.
