Description:

  • Sr HR Generalist with key focus in Employee Relations
  • Will primarily focus on supporting internal managers with ER issues and advising leadership on strategy and compliance in that space
  • Serves as the initial line of contact (person/phone/email) for applicants, employees, and managers for a variety of general HR inquiries.
  • Updates and maintains accurate employee information to document personnel actions and provide information for payroll.
  • Provides first-level support to employees and managers for basic performance management questions.
  • Assists managers and employees with voluntary termination questions and processes.
  • Conducts exit interviews with departing employees who voluntarily leave the company.
  • Completes initial unemployment job separation information for the Colorado Department of Labor. Assists in tracking unemployment claims and payments.
  • Assists in tracking and addressing first-level questions regarding the company's leave programs such as Family Medical Leave Act, Personal Leave, Domestic Violence Leave, etc. and addresses basic ADA/ADAAA questions.
  • Responsible for reporting and administration of workers compensation claims.
  • Acts as liaison between injured employee, claims adjuster, medical facility and department manager/supervisor.
  • Ensures compliance with OSHA rules and regulations. Maintains current records and annual postings.
  • Assists in recruitment activities. Prepares job requisitions, internal and external job postings, conducts pre-screening of candidates and communicates status updates to candidates and hiring managers.
  • Conducts next steps in the recruitment process including background/drug testing, conducting references checks, employment verifications, OIG verifications, and professional license/degree verifications.

Qualifications:

-2-3 years employee relations experience in most recent role for a large organization of at least 300 internal employees -very knowledgeable in consultations, working with legal, writing detailed synopsis of situations, expert in ER policies

-5 to 7 years of HR generalist experience for a large organization of at least 300 employees

-experience with leave assistance - fmla especially
