Reporting Structure: Reports to the Receiving Supervisor
Shift Details: Day Shift starting at 7:00 AM
Compensation: $24.80 per hour
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
The primary function of the Receiving role is to accurately count, measure, and weigh incoming shipments to ensure they match the corresponding bills of lading or invoices. Specific duties include:
- Unloading trucks and documenting case counts, weights, quality, and temperatures.
- Receiving and recording inbound shipments.
- Verifying shipments for accuracy in quantity and quality.
- Organizing inventory across multiple storage locations.
- Identifying and reporting damaged or expired products.
- Transporting products as needed.
- Maintaining a clean and organized workstation in accordance with sanitation standards.
- Adhering to Safety Quality Food (SQF) Level 3 standards and participating in provided training.
- Conducting quality control checks in line with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines, with training provided.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts to accommodate customer needs.
- Performing additional tasks as assigned by Supervisors and Managers.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a warehouse setting.
- Forklift operation experience, with certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Physical stamina and strength are essential.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to pass a drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience driving a 14–20-foot box truck.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
- Clear Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
Work Environment
The work environment is representative of those encountered while performing essential job functions. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
Employees may be regularly exposed to wet conditions and cold environments. The noise level is typically moderate.
Physical Demands
Employees must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, and seldom lift up to 100 pounds. Employees should also be able to push and pull weights up to 100 pounds.
While performing job duties, employees are regularly required to stand, walk, use hands for handling, reach with arms, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and communicate effectively.
