This position allows for remote work within Idaho (Northern preferred) or Utah (Must reside in the state). Some travel is necessary to support the entire state.

Our FEP Sales Executives play a crucial role in fulfilling this mission by serving as the primary connection between our organization and federal agencies, ensuring compliance and driving growth for the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Federal Employee Program (FEP).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the main liaison between federal agencies and the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Federal Employee Program.
  • Oversee the submission of the FEP Sales and Marketing Business Plan.
  • Maintain agency visits in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Enhance education outreach to federal agencies and members regarding the Federal Employee Program.
  • Manage FEP Field Service Activities to boost enrollment and retention.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate contract administration.
  • Develop and implement written policies and procedures to support contract compliance.
  • Lead the marketing initiatives for the FEP line of business, including newsletters and seminars.
  • Represent the Federal Employee Program at community and federal meetings.
  • Serve as the FEP expert during audits.
  • Coordinate training materials and presentations for internal communication.
  • Ensure adequate staffing for FEP open enrollment events.
  • Maintain strong relationships with agency contacts to address their needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related field, with a minimum of six years of experience in health care administration, sales, or marketing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven management skills, including effective planning and organization.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of the health insurance industry and client relationship management.
  • Familiarity with Federal Employee Program regulations is preferred.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Understanding of FEP processes and policies is advantageous.
  • Prior leadership experience is preferred, enhancing efficiency in managing sales territories.
  • Ability to analyze data and sales metrics to optimize performance.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Insurance licensing is not mandatory but is beneficial.

The anticipated salary range for the FEP Sales Executive role is $90,000 - $95,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience. This position also includes an annual sales bonus. The complete salary range for this role is $77,000 Low Range / $97,000 MRP / $127,000 High Range.
