Position Overview

Flexan is a leading global contract manufacturer specializing in custom high-quality silicone and thermoplastic components, sub-assemblies, and devices tailored to meet the stringent requirements of Class I, Class II, and Class III medical devices, along with bespoke compounding and molding for precision parts.


The HR Specialist will be an integral member of the Human Resources department, working closely with senior leadership and colleagues to foster a focus on human capital. This role emphasizes the establishment of an employee-centric, high-performance culture that prioritizes empowerment, quality, safety, productivity, and the achievement of organizational goals, alongside the recruitment and continuous development of a top-tier workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

Main Objectives:

  • Foster a company culture that prioritizes safety, quality, continuous improvement, and high performance.
  • Collaborate with Corporate HR to develop and implement programs, procedures, and guidelines that align the workforce with the strategic objectives of the organization.
  • Engage in the formulation and execution of departmental goals and performance metrics.
  • Oversee the onboarding and offboarding processes for employees, including completing new hire documentation, drafting offer letters, initiating pre-employment medical assessments, and setting up new hires in the time and attendance system; communicate essential information to candidates; conduct exit interviews.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies, notifying relevant supervisors, managers, and HR partners of issues and opportunities for enhancement.
  • Provide HR customer service support to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain confidential personnel, medical, and training records for active and terminated employees in accordance with applicable legal standards.
  • Process new hire, status change, and termination paperwork in a timely manner, ensuring all necessary approvals are obtained.
  • Administer and monitor safety-related concerns and training on-site.
  • Facilitate employee communication and feedback through various channels such as company meetings, suggestion programs, employee satisfaction surveys, newsletters, focus groups, and one-on-one discussions.
  • Support company-wide committees and initiatives.
  • Participate in cross-functional HR projects and activities.
  • Act as a backup for HR team members during their absence.

Additional Responsibilities:

Employee relations, payroll oversight, benefits management, and fostering employee engagement.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting within Human Resources.
  • Familiarity with employment laws and best practices.
  • Experience in payroll, compensation, and benefits administration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Adobe.
  • High level of integrity and a commitment to confidentiality.
