  • Under guidance, oversee and expand your designated territory or client accounts, which may include building owners, end-users, engineers, and contractors. Focus on prospecting new end-users as needed.
  • Ensure that assigned contractors are presenting suitable opportunities to LONG Building Technologies/HVAC Equipment.
  • Meet booking and gross margin targets, with an annual booking volume guideline of $2-4M. Customer relationships at this level are primarily operational and transactional.
  • Formulate and execute strategies to capitalize on all sales opportunities for your assigned clients or territory.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments and create sales proposals, estimates, specifications, and presentations.
  • Articulate and demonstrate the technical features of products and services in a manner that ensures clients understand HVAC systems and equipment.
  • Collaborate with operations, finance, legal, and other internal and external resources as necessary to secure sales.
  • Monitor sold projects to guarantee successful completion, ensuring a seamless transition from sales to operations.
  • Assist in resolving installation, collection, and other customer satisfaction issues as required.
  • Support clients and potential clients with inquiries regarding the use of company products and services, recommending appropriate solutions.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate sales activity reports, forecasts, and expense tracking.
  • Engage in civic and professional organizations, as well as sales department meetings, workshops, and seminars. Continuously pursue in-depth product and service knowledge while enhancing selling, technical, and financial skills.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends, technologies, and regulations in the building environments sector.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to uncover new opportunities and effectively position our offerings.
  • Share your expertise through training programs, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions to elevate the overall capabilities of the team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of sales-related experience.
  • Moderate technical and financial expertise relevant to the role.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical frameworks, engineering, installation, and construction practices.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and specifications.
  • Possess the practical and technical knowledge necessary to apply and sell all products while pursuing additional job-related knowledge.
  • Proven ability to influence decision-making at key levels.
  • Professional communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Aptitude for learning and effectively utilizing company estimating tools.
  • Understanding of value engineering, related contractual concepts, and financial principles.
  • Exceptional customer service and computer proficiency.
  • High level of accountability and a willingness to take responsibility.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Relevant credentials such as LEED GA/AP, CEM, FE, or PE.
  • Membership in ASHRAE.

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. from floor to countertop and vice versa.
