We are looking for a Quality Area Manager to be a vital part of our leadership team at Alaska Dialysis. This essential role is responsible for ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations while providing strategic guidance to meet organizational objectives and enhance patient outcomes through superior quality standards across our facilities.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

Quality Management

  • Lead the development of both short-term and long-term objectives by effectively communicating the organization's mission and core values.
  • Enhance performance quality by formulating and executing strategies aimed at achieving quality-related goals and outcomes.
  • Utilize advanced dashboards to track significant quality trends, analyze intricate quality issues, and drive improvement initiatives based on findings.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in clinical quality when collaborating with other team members.
  • Identify opportunities for clinical quality enhancements to fulfill quality program requirements.
  • Offer expert guidance and interpretation to clinical and operational teams regarding quality-related policies, clinical standards, and quality improvement tools.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Recognize areas for improvement to ensure compliance with company standards and applicable regulations through facility audits.
  • Provide recommendations and educational guidance to restore regulatory compliance using specialized knowledge.
  • Collaborate with facilities and management to set and achieve improved compliance and operational outcomes, identifying risks and opportunities for enhancement, and assisting with root cause analysis as necessary.
  • Mentor facilities in identifying effective practices tailored to their needs, testing for desired outcomes, and implementing these practices.
  • Analyze and report data to pinpoint improvement opportunities and track the progress of enhancement projects.

Required Education, Experience & Skills:

  • A BSN or a bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A Registered Nurse designation is required, with the ability to obtain licensure in Alaska.
  • Certification in Nephrology Nursing or quality is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of dialysis experience is required.
  • At least 3 years of management experience in a clinical leadership role is necessary.
  • Experience in quality, risk management, case management, or infection control is essential.
  • Strong analytical skills to propose alternative solutions and assist in resolving complex issues.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members while participating in quality improvement initiatives.
  • A solid understanding of the relationship between healthcare providers and regulatory agencies.
  • Excellent organizational skills are a must.
  • High proficiency in MS Office and EMR systems is required.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential.
