Position Summary and RequirementsReporting to the Quality Director, the Clinical Quality Improvement Nurse is tasked with the coordination, development, implementation, and assessment of all system-wide processes related to clinical quality metrics. This role involves the execution of processes, education, and the upkeep of assigned quality indicators. The Clinical Quality Improvement Nurse acts as a liaison among staff, management, and physicians concerning assigned quality metrics. A solid understanding of nursing processes is essential.
- Develops, implements, and sustains educational initiatives related to assigned quality metrics for leadership, staff, and physicians.
- Assists department leaders in ensuring staff compliance as required.
- Conducts targeted departmental surveys at the request of the Quality Director and prepares reports on findings.
- Monitors adherence to assigned quality metrics, analyzes trends, and collaborates with the Quality Director, Quality Medical Director, CMO, and multidisciplinary teams in performance improvement processes. Engages staff in setting individual and departmental goals related to all quality metrics.
- Provides ongoing feedback and educational support to management, physicians, and staff regarding current compliance scores to enhance performance.
- Responsible for maintaining clinical statistics/data and reporting results with a focus on improvement measures. Directly accountable for continuous quality enhancement emphasizing evidence-based practices.
- Serves as a resource for physicians and all departments by participating in assigned standing meetings related to quality metrics. Engages in relevant studies, data collection, abstraction, and analysis related to all quality metrics.
- Pursues professional growth and development through educational programs, current literature research, in-service meetings, workshops, and conferences.
- Collaborates with the Quality Director to ensure compliance with State and Federal Regulations, Joint Commission Standards, and Corporate standards related to all Clinical Quality Measures.
- Promotes a collaborative and motivating work environment.

- Associate's degree.
- Minimum of three years of RN and/or Quality Improvement experience.
