Job Summary
Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a highly skilled Regional Safety, Health and Environmental Manager to oversee all aspects of occupational safety management at assigned profit centers. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and adhering to safety policies and programs, and communicating safety issues to the National Safety Director and/or VP of Safety and Risk Management.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related field, or equivalent work experience. A minimum of 5 years of experience working with Safety, Health and Environmental Management Systems and implementation of safety programs is required. Preferred certifications include CSP, ASP, and CIH. The ability and willingness to travel overnight is also essential.
Key Skills and Abilities
The successful candidate will possess exceptional written and verbal skills, with the ability to present information in classroom or conference call settings. They will also be able to develop and execute a strategic plan with measurable goals based on leading and lagging indicator performance. Additionally, they will have knowledge of OSHA construction and general industry regulations, DOT regulations, and MS Office Suite.
Work Environment
The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 25 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to comply with applicable laws.
