Senior Employee Benefits Account Executive

The Senior Employee Benefits Account Executive will be responsible for managing pivotal relationships within our Major Accounts Division. This role involves daily interactions with both existing and prospective clients, developing and executing comprehensive employee benefits strategies, and delivering specialized service to our most intricate clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver strategic guidance to complex clients, focusing on areas such as contribution strategies, employee engagement, benefits education, underwriting, employee retention, pharmacy benefit management, and plan design.
- Serve as the primary contact for day-to-day client inquiries, issue resolution, vendor management, and scheduling meetings. Collaborate closely with the VP of Major Accounts to address elevated client needs and negotiations.
- Work within a dedicated client team to fulfill all client requirements. A successful Account Executive will bring confidence, experience, and strategic recommendations to enhance service delivery to both existing and emerging client needs.
- Provide exceptional customer service across all communication channels, including phone, in-person meetings, email, and written correspondence.
- Evaluate client needs and offer advice on suitable coverage levels and products.
- Assist clients with necessary documentation, including consultations with their staff and legal counsel when appropriate.
- Respond promptly to inquiries from current or potential clients.
- Propose additional product offerings to existing clients to enhance sales opportunities and meet their needs.
- Address customer complaints and resolve issues effectively.
- Maintain ongoing customer service and contact with clients, periodically reviewing their needs and updating their records.
- Stay informed about all products and services available through the agency.
- Participate in industry training programs as required.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years in the field, with at least 5 years in a client-facing leadership role.
- Proven ability to manage large, complex strategic clients.
- Experience in fostering and advancing relationships with primary client contacts.
- Flexibility to attend client meetings as needed.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Life & Health Producer license required; consulting license preferred.
