Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced, strategic, and operationally focused leader to join our team as Vice President of Operations. This role will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the firm, ensuring all systems, workflows, and processes are optimized to support growth and deliver high-quality legal services.
The VP of Operations will also provide financial oversight, including budgeting, financial forecasting, and operational expenditures. This dual role will work closely with the partners and leadership team to execute strategic initiatives that align with the firm's goals, drive efficiency, and ensure financial health.
Key Responsibilities- Operational Leadership (30%): Develop, implement, and oversee operational processes and workflows across all departments to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Case Management & Workflow Optimization (20%): Oversee the integration and optimization of the firm's case management system (Filevine) to ensure all departments operate efficiently.
- Financial Oversight & CFO Functions (25%): Collaborate with the firm's financial team and fractional CFO team to monitor budgets, revenue forecasts, and operational expenditures.
- Team Leadership & Development (15%): Lead, mentor, and manage cross-functional teams, ensuring employees have the tools and training necessary to perform effectively.
- Lead Generation & Marketing Management (10%): Oversee the firm's lead generation strategies, including the performance of marketing campaigns, SEO efforts, and digital marketing.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field. MBA, CPA, or JD preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations and financial management, preferably within the legal or professional services industry.
Proven leadership and team management skills with a demonstrated ability to foster a high-performing work environment.
Experience with legal case management systems (Filevine experience preferred).
Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, financial forecasting, and risk management.
Ability to implement operational systems, streamline workflows, and optimize financial performance.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced remote environment with occasional travel required.
