Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, validate, and oversee budgets, funding, expenditures, forecasts, and contingency allocations for various projects throughout their lifecycle.
  • Evaluate cost projections, create and sustain forecasts, and develop cost management strategies for designated projects.
  • Monitor and analyze project spending, pinpointing discrepancies from budgetary expectations and suggesting corrective measures.
  • Conduct financial risk evaluations and formulate strategies to mitigate budgetary deviations.
  • Assist in the examination and analysis of material contracts and subcontractor agreements, ensuring compliance with project specifications and budgetary constraints.
  • Manage and oversee change orders related to material contracts and subcontracts, ensuring adherence to Micron's Construction Management of Change (CMOC) protocols.
  • Aid in the assessment and justification of changes in accordance with Micron's Change Management procedures.
  • Collaborate with project teams across engineering, procurement, and construction disciplines to uncover cost-saving opportunities.
  • Analyze financial metrics to identify trends, inconsistencies, and potential savings, presenting insights to management and recommending actionable steps.
  • Supervise and confirm project costs, including materials, labor, and equipment, ensuring precise cost allocation aligned with the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and financial reporting.
  • Regularly update the WBS dictionary and ensure effective standardization throughout the project.
  • Prepare detailed cost reports and presentations for project stakeholders.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of cost management principles and standard practices within the semiconductor sector.
  • Utilize cost management software and tools to efficiently oversee project finances.
  • Implement and supervise cost auditing processes to ensure adherence to company policies and financial regulations, identifying and rectifying discrepancies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • 7 to 10 years of professional experience in the Construction sector.
  • At least 3 years of experience in cost management, preferably within the semiconductor industry or a similar capital projects environment.
  • Strong grasp of cost estimation, budgeting, and forecasting methodologies.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and cost management software.
  • Keen attention to detail and a robust work ethic.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Contingency Drawdown management and Quantitative Cost Risk Analysis (QCRA).
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and equipment.
