Job Overview

As a Component Procurement Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer support to field operations by facilitating the research and acquisition of necessary components and supplies for our technicians and clients. Additionally, you will assist in managing inventory and warehouse operations for the organization.

You will build strong partnerships with our Preferred Customers by consistently delivering outstanding solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Procure components for field technicians by interpreting source documents, verifying order accuracy, and entering data into designated software systems.
  • Generate precise and timely administrative documents, such as parts order forms, quotes, work orders, time sheets, receipts, and inventory logs.
  • Identify and rectify data entry discrepancies or escalate issues to the supervisor.
  • Maintain logs of activities and completed tasks, ensuring proper storage of completed documents.
  • Receive all incoming freight shipments and label them upon arrival as necessary.
  • Conduct daily check-ins of deliveries and communicate with Regional Service Managers as required.
  • Regularly review the warranty board for parts that need to be returned for credit and initiate RMA requests.
  • Collaborate bi-weekly with operations to ensure the return of warranty and unused parts to vendors for credit.
  • Process and prepare local order pick-ups for WILL CALL.
  • Adhere to safe work practices and accident prevention protocols.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This position operates within a professional office and warehouse setting. The role routinely utilizes standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. The position may involve working outdoors in various weather conditions.

Occasionally, the employee may work near moving mechanical parts in elevated or precarious locations and may be exposed to wet or humid conditions, temperature extremes, fumes, airborne particles, traffic, toxic or caustic chemicals, electrical hazards, and vibrations. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate, but may occasionally be high. The overall physical demands of this position are considered medium.
