Position: Buyer/Planner

As a Buyer/Planner at GrowRoseville, you will play a crucial role in the procurement of goods and services essential for our operational needs, particularly in the welding and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Purchasing: Generate precise purchase orders for a diverse range of materials and supplies.
  • Vendor Communication: Liaise with suppliers regarding order accuracy, status updates, and delivery schedules.
  • Inventory Management: Create part numbers for all procured items, ensuring the correct replenishment method is applied in the ERP system.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor and audit inventory data, including product categories, stocking status, and descriptions.
  • Vendor Relations: Identify opportunities to consolidate purchasing with preferred vendors and collaborate on product promotions.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing or inventory management within a distribution setting is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies such as lean and Six Sigma is advantageous.
  • Industry-recognized certifications (e.g., APICS, ISM) are a plus.
