Key Responsibilities:

As a Mechanical Maintenance and Reliability Specialist, you will have the chance to leverage your curiosity and work alongside some of the most inventive and diverse minds in the industry. Your contributions will include:

  • Supporting maintenance systems, including monitoring building performance and managing maintenance work order systems.
  • Developing specifications for the procurement of mechanical utility system equipment.
  • Modeling energy consumption for mechanical systems.
  • Assisting with site utility plant and process systems.
  • Collaborating with Plant Engineering to establish and oversee project timelines and budgets.
  • Engaging effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including operations, consultants, suppliers, and vendors.
  • Communicating clearly with project teams, facility personnel, and project stakeholders.
  • Troubleshooting issues related to steam and chilled water systems.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and internal guidelines.
  • Staying updated on technological advancements in steam and chilled water generation and distribution systems.
  • Providing on-call support for emergency or maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of four years of experience in Plant Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, or Utility Plant Operations.

Additional Skills:

While not mandatory, the following qualifications may enhance your success in this position:

  • Experience in mechanical system installation and/or maintenance projects.
  • Two years of experience in steam, chilled water, and/or gas distribution systems.
  • Two years of experience with high-pressure piping systems.
  • Familiarity with utility metering and utility plant operations.
  • Proficiency in project management skills for developing timelines, budgets, and coordinating activities.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Experience using electronic tools for design, documentation, and communication.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Work Environment:

This position is primarily on-site, with potential travel requirements.
