Qualifications:
The A/V Specialist should possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in audio-visual installations or a related field. Continuous education on systems encompassing audio, video, security, and lighting is essential. Proficiency in interpreting blueprints and other relevant documentation is required. Basic wiring and connectivity skills adhering to low voltage standards are necessary. Strong troubleshooting abilities are crucial. Basic computer skills with the capability to master in-house job management software are expected. A keen attention to detail, especially concerning the placement of key components and system wiring, is vital.
Objective: To deliver superior installation quality and customer satisfaction while adhering to industry standards and completing projects punctually and within budget.
Position Overview:
The A/V Specialist is accountable for the installation and maintenance of products at client job sites. The specialist will engage directly with the project manager and will be responsible for organizing supplies, products, and the transportation of high-value equipment to the job site as part of daily responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all facets of on-site installation of A/V systems.
- Manage van inventory and tools, ensuring van upkeep and presentation.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to align on timelines and expectations.
- Effectively communicate with and follow guidance from the Project Manager.
- Review sales orders, product lists, and scopes of work prior to equipment deployment.
- Demonstrate system functionalities to clients and implement on-site programming adjustments.
- Provide daily updates to project documentation and work orders within job management software.
- Maintain job site cleanliness and comply with builder site regulations.
- Ensure accurate time clock entries and job costing.
- Make informed decisions and be accountable for Time and Materials.
- Participate in on-call rotation as required.
- Travel locally to job sites as necessary.
- Deliver training or communication to share essential information as needed.
- Exercise fiscal responsibility for all assigned assets and property in the Technician's care.
- Provide exceptional customer service, particularly with high-profile and demanding clients.
- Safeguard client confidentiality and uphold network/home security.
- Comply with state and federal regulations, including traffic laws.
- Flexibility to accommodate customer needs outside of standard working hours.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs.
- Capability to stand or stoop for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in confined spaces and at ladder heights.
- Possess a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and pass a criminal background check.
- Security license or relevant experience is preferred.
