Position Overview:

DT Professional Services is in search of a proactive individual eager to contribute to a team committed to excellence and ongoing improvement. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in asset management, encompassing both IT software and hardware, along with a comprehensive understanding of associated workflows. Familiarity with essential concepts, practices, and procedures related to cybersecurity, particularly regarding the effects on hardware and software in a Department of Defense (DoD) context, is essential.

The successful applicant will assist in managing our client's information technology asset management (ITAM) for various systems, ensuring effective oversight and operational integrity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and analyze current or proposed systems to ensure adherence to specified configurations and approved cybersecurity standards under the guidance of the IT Asset Manager.
  • Conduct inventory, monitoring, and reporting on existing IT assets associated with the program.
  • Gather, assess, and analyze data to evaluate the performance and condition of the systems.
  • Review and suggest necessary updates to software specifications.
  • Provide troubleshooting and technical support to users as directed by the IT Asset Manager.
  • Update or revise documentation for systems as required.
  • Physical tasks may include lifting IT hardware, reaching, bending, or kneeling to connect cables, and other moderately strenuous activities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Systems Engineering Management.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent and 4-5 years of relevant experience in asset management, including both IT software and hardware (6 years of experience may substitute for a degree).
  • Possession of an active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Understanding of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures in cybersecurity and their implications for hardware and software in a DoD environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • DoD IAT Level II Computing Environment (CE) Certification, such as CompTIA Security+ CE or an equivalent certification, is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of asset management principles and associated workflows.
  • Proficient in documenting systems and communicating discrepancies or necessary changes using Microsoft Office and other relevant software tools.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and communicate with supervisors.
  • Familiarity with network engineering, configurations, and administration.
Compensation: The salary range for this role is between $85,000 and $100,000 annually.
