Position Summary:
- The selected candidate will deliver expert technical guidance for tactical communication devices and interconnected systems, facilitating research, development, integration, and procurement initiatives.
- Independence in task management and completion is essential.
- The ability to quickly adapt to new systems and communication technologies with minimal training is required.
- Collaboration with government and primary contractor teams to evaluate integration strategies, track progress, and identify optimal enhancements will be a key responsibility.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally is necessary.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- A degree is preferred; however, relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in tactical communication is required.
Essential Skills:
- Proficient in interpreting and analyzing router configurations, with a solid grasp of networking and IP protocols, routing, and firewall technologies.
- Capable of researching, testing, and comprehending new communication technologies, providing clear and organized feedback.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong knowledge of tactical satellite communication and radio operations.
Preferred Skills:
- In-depth understanding of tactical communication devices.
- Experience in developing training programs for others.
- Ability to design testing protocols for equipment and software.
- Familiarity with Link-16 messaging.
- Possession of Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and/or Network+ certification is advantageous.
Security Clearance:
- U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
