Position Overview:

DT Professional Services is in search of a proactive individual eager to contribute to a team committed to excellence and ongoing improvement. The ideal candidate will possess a background in asset management encompassing both IT software and hardware, along with the relevant workflows. A solid understanding of essential concepts, practices, and procedures related to cybersecurity, particularly in relation to hardware and software within a Department of Defense (DoD) context, is essential.

The successful applicant will assist in managing our client's information technology asset management (ITAM) for various systems, ensuring that all assets are effectively accounted for, deployed, maintained, upgraded, and disposed of, including responsibilities related to network and cybersecurity management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and evaluate current or proposed systems to ensure adherence to specified configurations and approved cybersecurity standards under the guidance of the IT Asset Manager.
  • Maintain an inventory, track, and report on existing IT assets associated with the program.
  • Gather, review, and analyze data to evaluate the performance and condition of the systems.
  • Propose updates to software specifications as necessary.
  • Provide troubleshooting and technical support to users under the supervision of the IT Asset Manager.
  • Update or review documentation for systems as required.
  • This role may involve physical activities such as lifting IT hardware and performing tasks that require reaching, bending, or kneeling.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by Systems Engineering Management.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree and 4-5 years of relevant experience in asset management, including IT software and hardware (6 years of experience may substitute for a degree).
  • Possession of an active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Understanding of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures in cybersecurity and their implications for hardware and software in a DoD setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • DoD IAT Level II Computing Environment (CE) Certification, such as CompTIA Security+ CE or an equivalent certification, is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of asset management and related workflows.
  • Ability to document systems and communicate any discrepancies or necessary changes using Microsoft Office and other software tools.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with supervisors.
  • Familiarity with network engineering, configurations, and administration.
Compensation: The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $100,000 annually.
