Job Overview

Havtech LLC is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented HVAC Controls Installer to join our team. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for installing and terminating low voltage cable, bending and installing conduit, and installing panels to walls and HVAC equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret job site drawings to understand proper installation areas and requirements.
  • Install and terminate low voltage cable, ensuring accurate and efficient connections.
  • Bend and install conduit, including EMT, Ridgid, and PVC, to meet project specifications.
  • Install panels to walls and HVAC equipment, ensuring secure and level installations.
  • Install field devices, such as sensors, thermostats, and damper actuators, for HVAC equipment.
  • Install DDC controllers in panels, following manufacturer instructions.
  • Read and understand Havtech-generated wiring drawings to ensure accurate wiring of equipment.
  • Utilize various hand tools and equipment, maintaining them for proper functionality.
  • Assist with final validation of system operation, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Travel occasionally, with some overnight stays (10%).
  • Flexibility to work outside normal work hours/weekends, as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC experience is a plus.
  • General proficiency with hand tools and ladder.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Computer experience is preferred.
  • Willingness to learn and operate independently on assigned tasks.
  • Customer service-oriented, able to interact with and build a good rapport with customers.

Work Environment

This position requires working at construction sites, in mechanical/equipment rooms, and possible extreme weather conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and heavy equipment. The employee may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock (high voltage); and vibration. The noise level in the work environment varies.
