Position: HVAC Control Systems Technician

SUMMARY:

Havtech LLC is currently seeking skilled and motivated electricians to enhance our dynamic installation team. This full-time role encompasses a variety of tasks related to the installation of advanced building automation systems.

POSITION TYPE: Full-Time, with potential for overtime based on project demands.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interpreting construction drawings (Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) to identify appropriate installation zones and specifications.
  • Installing and terminating low voltage wiring.
  • Bending and installing conduits made of EMT, Ridgid, and PVC materials.
  • Mounting panels onto walls and HVAC machinery.
  • Setting up field devices, including sensors, thermostats, and damper actuators for HVAC systems.
  • Installing Direct Digital Control (DDC) controllers within panels.
  • Following Havtech-generated wiring schematics to ensure correct equipment wiring.
  • Demonstrating a willingness to learn and develop within the organization while supporting team objectives.
  • Utilizing various hand tools and ensuring the maintenance of tools and equipment for optimal performance.
  • Occasional travel may be required, including overnight stays (approximately 10%).
  • Flexibility to work outside standard hours or on weekends as necessary.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the electrical field; HVAC experience is advantageous.
  • Electrician's License is highly preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Computer literacy is essential.
  • Familiarity with new construction concepts.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong customer service skills, capable of building positive relationships with clients.

While performing the duties of this role, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands for fine manipulation, reach with arms, and communicate verbally. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

This role requires working at construction sites, mechanical rooms, and potentially in extreme weather conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may encounter moving mechanical parts and heavy machinery. Exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, high places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, risk of electrical shock (high voltage), and vibration may occur. The noise level in the work environment can vary.
