Sales Director of Large Group Sales

This role is responsible for leading the property's large group sales team's sales efforts, reporting to the Vice President of Sales. The Sales Director will manage the property's reactive and proactive sales efforts, sharing responsibility for achieving revenue goals, guest, and associate satisfaction. The role will implement the brand's service strategy and applicable brand initiatives in all aspects of the sales process. The Sales Director will provide day-to-day leadership oversight to the on-property and remote sales associates, focusing on building long-term, luxury customer relationships that enable achievement of the property's sales objectives. The Sales Director will maintain ultimate accountability for verifying that the team maximizes revenue opportunities by up-selling and accurately forecasting revenues (e.g., catering and group rooms) for all events. The role will adhere to all Company, safety, and departmental policies and procedures. The Sales Director will foster teamwork and provide excellent guest service, anticipating guest needs to exceed guest expectations. The Sales Director will build brand loyalty by living the JW Marriott Core Values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the property's large group sales team's sales efforts
- Manage the property's reactive and proactive sales efforts

Requirements:
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 4 years' experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area required or
- 4-year bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 2 years' experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area preferred
- Valid Nevada Driver's License
