Job Description

MinistryHub is honored to partner with Good Neighbors Home Repair in their search for a Community Engagement Coordinator. This role is a great opportunity for a dynamic and passionate individual to develop and implement community outreach programs and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Community Engagement Strategies: Create and execute plans to build strong relationships with community members and stakeholders, organize events, and coordinate volunteers.
  • Collaborate with Internal Teams and External Partners: Work with internal teams and external community partners to organize and implement community engagement events and initiatives.
  • Coordinate with Volunteers and Community Service Providers: Manage and coordinate with volunteers and community service providers to ensure successful event execution.
  • Build and Maintain Positive Relationships: Foster and maintain positive relationships with community members and stakeholders to enhance strategic connections with businesses, churches, clubs, and organizations.
  • Monitor and Report on Community Issues and Feedback: Monitor and report on community issues and feedback to ensure effective community engagement.
  • Assist in Marketing Materials and Campaigns: Assist in the development of marketing materials and campaigns to promote community engagement.
  • Partner with Marketing Team: Partner with the marketing team to leverage social media platforms to engage with the community.

Qualifications:

  • Vibrant Christian Faith and Active Church Membership: A vibrant Christian faith and active membership in a local church is required.
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience as a Community Engagement Coordinator or relevant work in a similar role is required.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
  • Familiarity with Social Media Management and Digital Marketing: Familiarity with social media management and digital marketing is required.
  • Strong Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects are necessary.
  • Understanding of Community Issues: Understanding of community issues and dedication to addressing them is required.
  • Collaborative Environment: Thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree: A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.

Key Objectives:

  • Double Strategic Partnerships: Double the number of strategic partnerships with local volunteer groups (churches, community clubs, businesses, etc).
  • Contribute to Giving Increase: Contribute to a 10-15% increase in giving annually in participation with the advancement team.

Additional Information:

  • Job Title: Community Engagement Coordinator
  • Employment Type: Part-time preferred (25+ hrs/week). Open to Full-time for the right candidate.
  • Work Environment: While an office is available, the expectation is that this person will be out in the community most of the time, meeting and connecting with people.
  • Reporting Structure: Reports to the Advancement Director
  • Compensation: Part-time role would begin at $25/hr with the opportunity for growth as responsibilities increase. Full-time salary would be based upon candidate experience and qualifications.
