Overview
The Event Sales Coordinator will collaborate closely with the General Manager and various departmental leaders to meet the organization's revenue and market share objectives. This role involves nurturing existing relationships and pursuing new opportunities through proactive sales strategies across all market segments, while ensuring exceptional service delivery for all clients.
Key Responsibilities
Actively engage in outreach calls, provide facility tours, and host client meetings. Maintain an organized database of client accounts using approved software, effectively managing the sales pipeline. Analyze and assess market trends across all segments, leveraging benchmarking tools and intelligence resources. Identify and evaluate potential clients through participation in telemarketing, trade shows, sales blitzes, and other outreach initiatives. Optimize the results of all sales efforts by diligently following up on leads and identifying additional business opportunities with current clients. Contribute to and engage in dynamic digital and social media marketing strategies. Foster and maintain relationships with clients, industry partners, and internal teams. Acquire comprehensive operational knowledge and collaborate with departments such as Food and Beverage, Front Desk, and Housekeeping to ensure seamless communication for successful events and guest experiences. Participate in and lead sales strategy planning sessions, BEO meetings, daily business reviews, and revenue management discussions. Set annual SMART development objectives and actionable marketplace plans. Supervise, mentor, and motivate team members within the department.Qualifications
A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred. A minimum of two years of relevant experience in sales and event management, with a strong background in cold calling, contract negotiation, and site inspections. A valid driver's license is required. Proficient communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks; excellent organizational and presentation skills are essential.
